Did you know that if you die, you lose all your intellectual property on your phone and on your google drive? All your pictures, videos, documents…..GONE
Here’s a simple step that can change that! —> Set up a Legacy Contact
What is a Legacy Contact?
A Legacy Contact is someone you designate to manage your digital accounts if you die.
For Apple and Android users, this means choosing someone you trust who will contact Apple or Google when you pass away.
Why should you care?
Imagine this: your family wants to access cherished photos or important documents stored in your phone or on your google drive, but they can’t because they don’t have your passwords. I’ve heard horror stories from so many followers who needed to get into their deceased family member’s phone but were not allowed due to legalities.
Setting up a Legacy Contact is a simple yet impactful step in managing your digital legacy and ensures that someone you trust can handle these details under conditions you choose prior to anything happening to you.
Can they see my info while I’m still alive?
No, they can’t see what’s inside your phone or google drive while you’re alive. Apple has your Legacy contact prove your death with a death certificate. With Google, you will choose how long they should wait for no response from you, what you want your legacy contact to access, and what you want to disappear on your google drive.
How to Set Up a Legacy Contact
Here’s a quick walkthrough for both Apple and Android users:
For Apple Users:

For Android Users:
